Who are we?
We’re Arts Gateway MK, formed after more than 20 years as the Milton Keynes Arts Association, to develop our existing funding and support for MK artists and creative organisation.
What we do
We fund a range of events, activities for individuals, groups and organisations in MK to develop their ideas and careers.
Applying for funds is easy - simply apply electronically using the appropriate downloadable forms 'here' or by post. Call 01908 241122 and we will send forms out.
You are welcome to talk your ideas through before applying. We will be providing some case studies as examples of successful applications on our ‘downloads’ page. Just call 01908 241122 for any help you might need.
Applications for each art form are considered by a panel of local practitioners. There is a panel for each of literature, drama, visual arts, music and dance, (film belongs in the Visual Arts) who decide where the money is spent. There is a maximum of £500 for individuals and start-up grants and £1,500 for groups and organisations.
Deadlines are 1 February, 1 May, and 1 October every year.

The Community Arts Resource Centre
The Community Arts Resource Centre – CARCMK- at Stacey Bushes has been added to the range of services provided by Arts Gateway MK to make it easier for creative people to run activities by creating a one-stop shop that hires out everything you might need from costumes and props to sound equipment, marquees and more… including knowledgeable advice from experienced event organisers.
It can also provide advice about hiring equipment very cheaply without the worry of sourcing, choosing, buying, storing, insuring and repairing equipment.

Arts Database
We are in the early stages of developing an Arts Database. Our plan is to have a centralised place where you can list or search for anything arts related, be it a dance class, exhibition space, piano teacher, arts and crafts supplies. You name it, we hope you’ll find it on our database.
You will also be able to advertise yourself as an artist and submit examples of your work. More details to follow soon.
Who funds us?
We gratefully acknowledge support from Milton Keynes Council and also from Milton Keynes Community Foundation.
